2 held with 400 kg heroin seized in Nimroz
ZARANJ (Pajhwok): Police in southwestern Nimroz province on Thursday arrested individuals and recovered 400 kilograms heroin from vehicles, officials said.
Police Chief Brig. Gen. Mohammad Qasim Jangal Bagh, said the contraband was concealed in the vehicles skillfully, which was recovered by police during search at the zero point area of the border between Afghanistan and Iran.
He said the truck was empty and was heading to Iran to bring imported goods back to Afghanistan from Abbas Port in Iran.
The officials said the arrested individuals were being investigated by the police. On Thursday security officials seized 130 kilograms heroine from a truck that were being smuggled to Iran .
