National revenue collection computerised: MoF
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on Saturday established computerized system for revenue collection of custom and revenue departments of the country.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard was signed on Saturday between Mia Gul Maqsood Sabit, secretary of custom and revenue departments, and Esa Khan Turab, deputy director of the Afghanistan Central Bank.
Najibullah Wardak, director of the custom and revenue department, said the new system would connect revenue departments of the country with the Central Bank, adding that it would be activated from today.
He said up till now revenue was being collected manually which led to massive corruption and waste of time. The official said that Ministry of Finance had planned various new programs to bolster the performance of the ministry.
