Park Palace attack was pre-planned: Official
KABUL (Pajhwok): Security officials on Sunday said attack on Park Palace Hotel in capital Kabul was pre-planned and the perpetrators had rented a room three days before the devastating onslaught.
Rahmatullah Nabil, director general of National Directorate of Security (NDS) and Police Chief Lt. Col. Abdul Rahman Rahimi told the joint commission of parliament. Nabil said the attack was similar to the last year attack on Serena Hotel.
Police chief said the assault was planned earlier. He said investigation was still underway that was why they could not share more on the subject.
At least 14 civilians, including nine foreigners, were killed after terrorists stormed a guesthouse popular with foreigners in the Kolola Pushta neighborhood in Kabul last week.
