6 militants killed in Nangarhar drone strike
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Six rebels, including a dreaded commander, were killed in two drone strikes in eastern Kunar and Nuristan provinces, security officials said on Wednesday.
Col. Mohammad Noman Hatifi, spokesman for the 201st Selab Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News a notorious insurgents’ commander Maulvi Abdullah was killed by an unmanned drone assault in Wata Por district of eastern Kunar province.
Another missile strike took place in Want Waigal district of eastern Nuristan province, which left five militants, including Mullah Younus, a leading commander, of the area.
However, Taliban have not yet commented on the incidents.
