Abidy appointed NDS deputy director policy
KABUL (Pajhwok): Former spokesman of Presidential Palace Ajmal Obaid Abidy has been appointed as deputy director policy at the National Directorate of Security (NDS), President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani tweeted Thursday.
@AjmalObaidABIDY for his excellent work as my spokesperson. I wish him all the best with his new position as Deputy Head of NDS,” Ghani tweeted.
The president said that Hamdullah Muhib, head of the president office, will discharge his duties as acting spokesperson until the new spokesman was appointed.
Ajaml Abidy was appointed as spokesperson of Presidential Palace back in February. Earlier, he was managing director of a private television network.
The presidential spokesman has been replaced for the second time since the inception of unity government. Earlier, Nazifullah Salarzai was the spokesman for the president.
