Panjsher culture department’s new building opens
PARAKH (Pajhwok): Information and Cultural Minister Abdul Bari Jehani on Saturday inaugurated a newly-constructed building for the Information and Culture Department of central Panjsher province.
The two-storey building in Parakh, the provincial capital, has been constructed over an 1,600 square kilometers area at a cost of 14 million afghanis.
Ghulam Rassoul, the Information and Cultural Director, said the building had 22 rooms, a salon, a conference hall, courtyard and other facilities.
Jehnani, who met with the provincial governor Abdul Rahman Kabiri, said they planned to construct a museum and a cultural centre in Panjsher in future, a statement from the Information and Culture Department said.
Kabiri thanked the minister for inaugurating the much-awaited building, which he said was marred by lack of funds and technicians during its construction.
