Ghani stresses coordination among departments
KABUL (Pajhwok): President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Sunday underlined close coordination among government departments, ministries and several other institutions for better governance.
Chairing a meeting of directors and heads of several departments in the Presidential Palace, the president asked the officials to work out a 100-day plan like the ministers and extend cooperation to each other to create an effective work environment and overcome problems of the people.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said that heads and directors of several departments informed the president that lack of budget and other hurdles caused problems in their work.
The president emphasized on greater transparency and accountability in organizations and directed that each institution should have standard rules, regulations and procedures. The quality should be given preference over quantity whereas the impact of the activity should be mainly focused.
