Urban development ministry unveils 100-day plan
KABUL (Pajhwok): Unveiling his 100-day plan, Syed Mansour Naderi, minister of Urban Development Affairs said on Tuesday construction of more houses and eradication of corruption would be his top priorities in the first three month.
Speaking to reporters here, Naderi said implementation of national urbanization plan, reforms in urbanization system, executive affairs and fight against graft would be his priorities.
He said working plan for initial three months was prepared as per demand and problems faced by the people in congested cities. Every city of the country would witness equal development in the coming days, he pledged.
The minister said in the national urbanization program there would be more focus on capacity building, training and assessing performance of the ministry.
Finalization of the national urbanization policy and assessment report of the cities of 34 provinces would be completed in the first three months, he added.
Naderi lamented the previous governments did not provide homes to deserved people but now that issue would be addressed on priority basis.
He said to launch a housing scheme in which people would be allowed to make payment in installment. The price of a house, he said, would range between $1, 5000 to $2,5000.
Naderi said introduction of a special mechanism for improved communication, transparency within the ministry was part of the first 100-day plan, while they would also make sure to address complaints of citizens.
