Grishk district chief survives Taliban attack
LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): The Grishk district chief escaped unhurt in an attack by armed militants in southern Helmand province on Thursday but his two guards were killed in the ambush, the governor’s spokesman said.
Umar Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mohammad Fahim Musazai, the district chief, was going in his car in the bazaar when masked motorcyclists fired on him late Wednesday night.
After the grisly attack, the attackers fled the scene and police had started raids to nab the culprits, he added.
Taliban haven’t yet commented on the incident.
