Education depts in Helmand, Zabul get buildings
LASHKARGAH/QALAT (Pajhwok): Construction work on two projects for education directorate have been completed and the facilities have been handed over for formal use in southern Helmand and Zabul provinces, officials said on Sunday.
Mohammad Jan Rasoolyar, Helmand deputy governor, told Pajhwok Afghan News a two storey administrative building was constructed at a cost of around 9 million Afghanis for education department.
Abdul Mateen Jaffar, director education in Helmand, said: “We have constructed a building for an institute which has been illegally occupied by kiosks holders. However, we have geared up efforts in support of municipality to vacate the land.”
Meanwhile, Rahimullah Ludin, director education in Zabul, said an administrative block had been constructed at a cost of 22.5 million Afghanis in 14 months period. The newly constructed building had three storey and 33 rooms, the director added.
Zabul Governor Anwar Ishaqzai said that education directorate needed several other such projects and “we will strive hard to improve the quality of education and security of the area.”
