Unregistered SIM cards contribute to insecurity
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Telecommunication Authority (ATA) said on Monday burgeoning sell of unregistered Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Cards were playing great role in insecurity as militants had easy access to the facility.
ATA Deputy Director Faiz Mohammad Faizi expressed these view at inauguration ceremony of SIM Cards selling centre of Roshan private mobile company.
He said ATA had chalked out a plan under which every mobile company would be bound to sell connection to consumer after a proper procedure of registration.
Commenting over complaints against mobile networks, the official said the provision of telecommunication services was closely connected with security and company could improve their services when security is improved.
