Thousands of deserving families get aid in Ghazni
CHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A Qatar funded Red Crecesent (RC) organization distributed aid and assistance among 1,000 vulnerable families in southern Ghazni province, en employee of RC said on Tuesday.
Samiullah Sadiqi told Pajhwok Afghan News that the RC initially conducted survey and prepared a list of 1,000 poverty-stricken families.
The aid items distributed among families included one sack of rice, five kilograms of edible oil, seven kilograms beans, seven kilograms of sugar and two kilograms of tea and milk, he said, adding that RC would provide more assistance to needy families.
Abdul Qadir, a local resident, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “I have 11 members family and the aid is not sufficient for all of us.”
