Top Daesh leader dead in Nangarhar drone strike
KABUL (Pajhwok): Hafiz Saeed Khan, the top leader of the self-styled Daesh group has been killed along with 30 fighters in eastern Nangarhar, a statement from the Afghanistan spy network said Saturday.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a statement said Hafiz Saeed Khan was killed along with 30 other insurgents on Friday evening in a coordinated assault in Achin district.
The NDS said of having authentic reports of Daesh group gathering in Takht area which they shared with foreign troops. After that coordination, the NDS said that drone fired a missile which hit the target.
It merits mention that it is the third biggest attack against Daesh in a week which has earlier left the group’s dreaded commanders Gul Zaman and Shahidullah Shahid dead.
The group has yet to comment on the incident.
