Afghanistan notch up 3rd win on the trot in World T20 Qualifier
Asghar Stanakazai, the Afghanistan captain, won the toss and elected to bat on a batting-friendly wicket. In the allotted 20 over, Afghanistan scored 210 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Shehzad Muhammadi, the wicketkeeping batsman, made 75 runs off 36 balls. The opener smashed seven towering sixes and five fours in his brilliant innings. Najib Zadran scored 37 runs, Asghar 34 and Mohammad Nabi played a quickfire 33 off just 18 balls.
The Scots were bowled out for 173 runs in 19.2 over. Hamid Hassan and Nabi Mohammad took three wickets each while Mirwas Ashraf grabbed two to restrict the hosts away from winning game.
Shehzad Muhammadi for his brilliant knock stood man of the match. Afghanistan have already beaten Holland and the UAE in the first two encounters.
