3 brothers gunned down in Baghlan
PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Following a family feud, three brothers were gunned down in Bano district of northern Baghlan province where residents complained of harassment by illegal gunmen.
Three brothers with their ages ranging between 25 to 37 were shot dead on Sunday evening when they were on their way home in Goch locality.
Muhibullah Mohaqiq, Bano district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the slain brothers were farmers by profession and had a family feud.
It was a revenge killing since the gunmen’s brother had been killed last year, he recalled. Police detained two suspects who were being interrogated, he added.
Malem Zafar, a local elder, said this was the fourth time civilians were being killed by gunmen in the locality. Three months back, he said, a 30-year-old man with his mother was killed in the village and another two men were gunned down in separate incidents.
