Driver injured in twin Kabul explosions
KABUL (Pajhwok): At least one person was wounded when two back-to-back bomb explosions rocked the Kolola Pushta neighbourhood of the central capital Kabul late on Monday.
Brig. Gen. Humayun Aini, the 119 police helpline commander, told Pajhwok Afghan News the one of the blasts took place on the first road in the Ansari square area.
He said one person was wounded in the blast and he had been taken to hospital and his condition was said to be stable. He said the second blast caused no casualties.
Eyewitnesses said the two blasts were caused by magnetic bombs. One of the blasts took place in front of a hotel, Central Hotel, and the second in the Ansari square in the limits of the ninth police district.
One of the blasts injured a driver and partially destroyed his vehicle, the witnesses said.
