2nd round of peace negotiations next week: HPC
HPC member Mohammad Ismail Qasimyar said the next second round of talks were set for July 30 or 31 and that China would "most probably" be hosting the meeting
But another HPC official told a foreign news agency said the venue had not been confirmed.
"The talks... are set for July 30 but discussions and consultation are ongoing between Afghanistan, Pakistan, the United States and China on where to host the meeting," said HPC deputy chairman Abdul Hakim Mujahid.
The first round of the peace talks took place earlier this month in Murree, a tourist resort near the Pakistani capital Islamabad. The sides agreed to meet again after Ramadan.
A member of the Afghan government delegation, Haji Din Mohammad, had told Pajhwok Afghan News that a ceasefire deal would be high on agenda of the next round of talks.
He had also said that more and prominent Taliban leaders would take part in the next meeting, predicting China a possible venue.
