US drone strike in Nangarhar leaves 5 rebels dead
KABUL (Pajhwok): At least five suspected militants were perished in a US drone strike in eastern Nangarhar province near the Pak-Afghan border on Sunday, an official said.
Police Chief Lt. Col. Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News the unmanned aircraft targeted militants onboard a car in the Chaknoro locality of Lalpura district.
A Pakistani insurgent was among the five dead rebels, he added.
Militants, however, have yet to comment on the airstrike.
