Cylinder blast leaves 5 of a family dead in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): As many as five members of a family were killed in a gas cylinder blast in Kabul city, victims' relatives said on Tuesday.
Mohammad Bashir, a relative of civil society activist Eng. Mahmood Saeed, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mahmood Saeed’s wife, three daughters and his son were killed in a cylinder blast on Monday evening in Kabul.
The ages of the dead children were less than seven, he said, adding that the dead bodies were shifted to Maidan Wardak, the home town of Eng. Mahmood for funeral. Ibadullah Razin, police spokesman, confirmed the incident and said that cylinder blast caused huge fire which torched the house and killed a mother and her four children.
Eng. Mahmood Saeed belongs to Maidan Wardak and presently works in Uruzgan province. He is a prominent civil society activist.
