11 dead, 45 wounded as bus overturns in Nimroz
ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A passenger bus of a private transport company overturned on the main Kandahar-Nimroz highway, leaving 11 people dead and 45 others wounded, an official said on Friday.
Hasham Nawrozi, the Khashrud district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the passenger bus was heading to Nimroz from Kabul and overturned in Dehmzung area. The victims are said to be labourers travelling to Iran.
Captain Sher Ahmad, an Afghan National Army (ANA) official in Khashrud, said they had shifted the injured to the district hospital. The other day, at least nine people were killed in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Ghazni highway.
