3 policemen, 2 civilians wounded in Tirinkot explosion
TIRINIKOT (Pajhwok): A heavy explosion in front of the Kabul Bank branch left five people wounded on Saturday in Tirinkot, the capital of central Uruzgan province, an official said.
Dost Mohammad Nayab, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bomb went off early morning in front of the bank. Heavy police contingents rushed to the site soon after the blast and cordoned off the area.
Two motorcyclists fled the area after the incident, he added. Three policemen and two civilians were wounded in the attack. The victims were shifted to hospital. The wounded are in stable condition.
However, militants have not yet commented on the incident.
