‘Intelligence networks hold keys to foment violence, initiate talks’
KABUL (Pajhwok): First Deputy Speaker Haji Zahir Qadeer has said that regional intelligence networks have the keys to either foment violence or initiate peace talks.
He expressed these views after donating blood for victims of yesterday devastated bombings that rocked capital Kabul.
Around 70 people, including security officials, had been killed and over 400 wounded in series of explosions during the last couple of days.
“Now, we are sure that keys to war and peace are in the hands of regional intelligence agencies. Neither late Mullah Umar led Taliban’s insurgency in Afghanistan nor his successor Mullah Mansour lead the ongoing conflict,” he added.
He called on unity government leaders to shun their trivial differences and concentrate on unity and security of the country.
