13 horticultural storehouses completed
KABUL (Pajhwok): The construction of 13 storehouses for horticultural products has been completed in six provinces at a cost of more than $3 million, the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL) said on Sunday.
One of these facilities in the Mir Bacha Kot district of central Kabul province would be soon inaugurated by Agricultural Minister Asadullah Zamir, the ministry said in a statement.
Of the remaining 12 storage facilities, three had been constructed in Kandahar, three in Herat, as many in Nangarhar, one in Balkh and two in Kunduz provinces.
Another two such warehouses would be constructed in Paktia province over the next two months, the statement said, adding that each storage facilities cost $233,500.
So far the ministry has constructed 50 storage facilities in different provinces.
