Policeman kills 6 colleagues in Helmand shooting
LASHGARKA (Pajhwok): A policeman shot dead six of his colleagues in the Greshk district of southern Helmand province, an official said on Monday.
The official, who did not want to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News the policeman opened fire on his colleagues, killing six of them in Naqilo village late Sunday night.
He said the attacker with links to militants fled with all the weapons and ammunition after the incident. However, Helmand security officials have not yet commented on the shooting.
A Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, claimed responsibility for the attack and said one of their members had killed six policemen in Adam Khan village. The attacker took away all weapons, he added.
