Cook killed mysteriously; 6 police missing in Helmand
LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A cook was killed mysteriously while six policemen went missing from a security check post in the Garmsar district in southern Helmand province on Friday, a security official said.
Wishing to go unnamed, the official told Pajhwok Afghan News that a cook at a security check post in the Amir Buland Agha area of the district killed mysteriously.
He said that six policemen went missing along with their weapons and a vehicle and security officials had started investigations to locate the missing officials.
There are a number of other security check posts and militants could not dare to approach that particular check post or kidnap policemen from there, the official said.
Taliban said they opened fire on the security check post on Thursday night killing one policeman while the rests fled the check post.
