Uprising leader, 4 ALP personnel killed in Ghazni
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The upraising group head along with one of his bodyguard and four Afghan Local Police (ALP) members were killed in militants’ attack in Andar district of southern Ghazni province, an official said Saturday.
Ghazni governor’s spokesman Shafiq Nang told Pajhwok Afghan News militants stormed security posts in Mannar, Habib Gudali and Gandhir areas of the district last night.
Four ALP men were killed and seven others wounded in a face-off with militants who attacked the post in Mannar area, he added.
He said that the upraising group head Abdullah along with one of his bodyguards were also killed when his car came under roadside bombing in Mannar area.
A resident of the area Mohammad Rahim said Taliban attacked security posts last night.
Both sides exchanged heavy fire, he added, confirming the death of upraising group head in roadside blast.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed killing four ALP members and their post was seized by militants.
He claimed the upraising group head and one of his bodyguards were also killed in a blast.
