School building, water supply schemes completed in Samangan
AIBAK (Pajhwok): At least three development projects, including the construction of a school building and drinking water supply, have been completed in northern Samangan province, officials said on Sunday.
With the construction of the school building in Dara-i-Sauf Bala district, 200 students will be able to study in a proper environment.
Abdul Wahab Zafar, education director, told Pajhwok Afghan News earlier students used to study under the open sky and confronted multiple problems.
The new school building has been constructed on 1,200 square metres area at a cost of 2,540,000 afghanis provided by the government of Canada.
Separately, two drinking water projects were completed in the district at a cost of 2076,000 afghanis, said Samaruddin Shahrakhi, the Rural and Rehabilitation Department spokesman.
The projects included digging of a 90 meters deep well and construction of a facility with the capacity of storing 90,000 litres of water, he concluded.
