5 police dead in Ghazni bombing; vehicle destroyed
GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least five policemen were killed on Thursday morning when their vehicle struck a roadside bomb in southern Ghazni province, an official said.
The police were on their way from Ghazni City, the provincial capital, to Zankhan district when the bomb exploded beneath their vehicle, said provincial deputy police chief Asadullah Ansafi.
He said the blast killed five policemen and completely destroyed their Ranger vehicle.
Dr. Baz Mohammad Hemat, the provincial hospital chief, confirmed receiving the bodies of five policemen.
The Taliban have not yet commented about the incident.
