Ghor teacher training centre gets new hostel building
FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): A newly-constructed building for a hostel at a teacher training college was inaugurated in western Ghor province on Thursday.
The two-storey building on 768 square metres land took one year to complete at a total cost of 27 million aghanis, which had been provided by the Ministry of Education from its development budget, the college’s director said.
Fazal Haq told Pajhwok Afghan News the new building would house students of the training college currently living in rented houses.
“We have rented a house against 50,000 afghanis per month for students and the new building will improve their living condition,” he said.
He said 3,000 students had completed their studies and currently 1000 students, including females, were studying in the college.
The central government should improve the education sector in Ghor province on a priority basis, said Deputy Governor Mohammad Amin Tokhi.
