Afghan women’s football team off to Japan
Sayed Ali Kazmi, the football federation spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the women’s team left for Tokyo at the invitation of the Japanese football federation.
He said the Afghan team would attend practice sessions and play some friendly matches with Japanese teams during the week-long tour.
In addition, the team’s management would hold talks with Japanese counterparts about greater cooperation to improve the game in Afghanistan.
Kazmi termed the Japan tour as a positive step and said the Afghanistan women’s team would learn from their Japanese colleagues.
