Demonstration staged in Kabul against Israeli aggression
KABUL (Pajhwok): During a protest in Kabul, hundreds of people on Friday condemned Israeliatrocities against Palestinians and called on Tel Aviv to stop its deadly campaign.
Recently, the Israeli military stepped up attacks on Masjid Al-Aqsa, inflicting casualties on civilians.The main aim of the attacks was to destroy sacred Islamic places in Palestine, they alleged.
A participant of the protest, Ahmad Jamshed, told Pajhwok Afghan NewsMuslims of the world must break their silenceon attacks against Palestinians. The demonstrators chanted slogans against Israel and in support of Palestinians.
Ziauddin, another participant of the protest organised by the Najam Association, said the Palestinians should be given their rights and Israel must shun violence against Muslims.
Najam Association spokesman Mudassir Islami said nearly 500 people participated in the one-hour protest that started from the Deh Afghanan and terminated at the Pashtunistan Square of Kabul.
According to Islami, similar protests were also conducted in Khost, Balkh, Baghlan, Kunduz and Nangarhar provinces to denounce Israeli aggression.
