28 civilians wounded in Asadabad explosion
ASADABAD (Pajhwok): At least 28 civilians were wounded in a magnetic bomb explosion in Asadabad, the capital of eastern Kunar province, on Sunday, an official said.
The incident took place at around 11:30am in the main bazaar of Asadabad, police chief Brig. Gen. Abdul Habib Syedkhel said. The bomb was placed in an energy meter box.
He said 10 of the injured evacuate to the main provincial hospital were discharged after being administered first medical aid.
But Public Health Director Asadullah Fazli said of the 28 wounded taken to hospital, 18 were discharged after treatment and 10 were still under treatment.
