Rocket lands near Sayyaf’s residence in Paghman
KABUL (Pajhwok): A rocket landed close to the residence of Dawat-i-Islami party leader Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayyaf on Tuesday morning in the Paghman district of capital Kabul, an official said.
Fired from the Pushta Masjid area at around 7am, the rocket landed near Sayyaf’s home, causing not facilities, the district police chief, Col. Amrullah, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
No one has so far been detained in connection with the rocket attack, but police have started an investigation into the incident.
In late August, two rockets had landed near the residence of the renowned religious scholar and former jihadi leader, who is a vocal critic of suicide attacks and other forms of violence against civilians.
