2 killed, 6 injured in Wardak car collision
MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): A child and a woman were killed and another six people, including women and children, sustained injuries when two cars crashed head-on on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Wednesday.
The accident took place in Tangi area of Syedabad district late on Tuesday when a car from Kabul to southern Ghazni province crashed into another car coming in the opposite direction, said Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman.
He said one child and one woman died and six others, including women and children, were wounded in the incident. The injured had been shifted to the civil hospital in Maidan Shahr, the provincial capital. Khogyani said the injured persons were said to be in stable condition, blaming the accident on speedy and reckless driving.
