2 officials caught red-handed taking bribes
HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Intelligence police have arrested two district officials in western Herat province on corruption charges, an official said on Monday.
Those detained included the Injil district mayor and rural affairs director, confirmed the provincial government spokesman, Ihsanullah Hayat.
A security official, who wished to go unnamed, said the mayor and the rural affairs director had been detained red-handed accepting $500 and $200 in bribe respectively.
