5 passengers suffer casualties in Wardak road mishap
MAIDAN SHAHR/TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Two people were killed and three others injured in a car accident on the Kabul-Ghazni highway in central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Wednesday.
Maidan Wardak governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident took place when the Corolla car crashed into a Mazda truck in Syedabad district on Tuesday night.
He said that two people were killed and three others -- two children and a woman -- injured. Khogyani added the wounded were in stable condition and the truck driver had been arrested.
According to another report, one man was killed and another injured in a bomb blast in central Uruzgan province.
Provincial police chief Col. Rahimullah said the explosion took place on Tuesday afternoon near a crowd of people in Chora district. The police chief did not provide more details about the incident.
