Fundraiser, blood donation for Kunduz families
MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Residents in this capital city of northern Balkh province have set up a tent collecting donations for war-affected families in northern Kunduz province.
Mediothek organization director in Balkh Saber Naqshbandi told Pajhwok Afghan News several civil society groups had joined the fundraising campaign to assist Kunduz families displaced to Balkh province.
He said the tent was organised by civil society activists who were displaced as a result of the violence in Kunduz City, the capital of Kunduz province.
A civil society activist from Kunduz Enayatullah Khaliq said he was in Mazar-i-Sharif for the last few days trying to organize the tent for fundraising.
He said they accepted aid from government organs and public for its delivery to the affected Kunduz families.
Balkh Refugee and Repatriation Director Abdul Saboor said 1,400 displaced families from Kunduz had arrived in Mazar-i-Sharif.
In Panjshir province, a large number of people donated blood for injured people of Kunduz province.
Panjshir Public Health director Abdul Sammad Karim said 29,000 CC blood was donated by residents of the provincial capital and Anaba and Rakha districts.
A resident of Panjshir, Abdul Qudus, said they donated blood to share their solidarity with the injured people of Kunduz and save their lives.
