IDLG praises Naeemi’s efforts as Laghman governor
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) has praised the governor of eastern Laghman province, Abdul Jabar Naeemi, for his efforts against corruption, poppy cultivation and anti-state elements.
A letter from the IDLG was read out at a meeting of the provincial development committee in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital.
Local officials and representatives of donor agencies were present on the occasion where Naeemi was praised for his effective management of administrative affairs and taking serious steps to curb graft, poppy and anti-government elements.
“The IDLG has received the progress report of Laghman governor. Since the report is based on solid evidence and draws the attention of the leadership, the IDLG has decided to express satisfaction and thank Abdul Jabar Naeemi for his efforts,” read the letter.
Establishing healthy, constructive and continuous relationship with the people, civil society and the media and efforts at creating a peaceful living environment among tribes, collaborating with and supporting local security officials and efforts for solutions to economic, social and security challenges have been cited among other instances the governor was admired by the IDLG.
