Iran road accident leaves 20 illegal Afghans dead, 10 injured
KABUL (Pajhwok): Twenty illegal Afghan migrants have been killed and 10 others wounded and in a road accident in Iran, the state-run TV reported.
The channel quoted a traffic police official as saying Sunday’s crash occurred after several cars collided.
All victims of the accident were foreigners, mostly from Afghanistan, who were on their way to European countries, according to Iranian officials.
The crash involving a car, a bus and a truck happened last evening on the road linking Tehran with Qom City.
The Afghan migrants met the tragedy after illegally crossing the border into Iran. They were travelling in the mini-bus that ploughed into the truck.
