3 injured in a blast on police vehicle
JALALABAD (Pajhwok): 3 people injured in a magnetic bomb blast on a police vehicle in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, an official said.
Provincial police spokesman Lt. Col. Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place around 12:30pm today noon.
He said a magnetic bomb attached to the vehicle of police appointed for security of UN officies was exploded close to Sherzai Stadium that left two of the guards and a civilian injured.
An eyewitness Azizullah confirmed the incident and said that the explosion was strong and left several people wounded.
He said the vehicle of the security guards was also damaged in the incident.
On last Saturday, two policemen were also injured in a magnetic bomb attack close to the provincial council office of Nangarhar province.
