Bomb goes off at radio office gate in Kandahar
KABUL (Pajhwok): A magnetic bomb went off on Thursday at the entrance to a local radio channel in the capital of southern Kandahar province, but caused no casualties, an official said.
The blast took place in front of the Mirwais hospital in Kandahar City shortly after 8pm in the limits of the sixth police district, the governor’s spokesman, Samim Khpalwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
He said the bomb exploded near the entrance to Woranga Radio station, damaging a vehicle. There were no casualties.
The official said another bomb planted in the same area was detected and defused by police.
A worker at the radio, Bismal Farhad, said the blast took place in front to the radio gate, damaging a vehicle and a few motorcycles.
