17 development projects executed in Ghor
FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): Seventeen development schemes have been executed in western Ghor province, facilitating more than 3000 families, an official said on Tuesday.
The projects included 10 water reservoirs, seven water-heads and a canal construction project costing more than 35 million afghanis, the provincial Rural Rehabilitation Director said.
Zikria Sirat told Pajhwok Afghan News the projects had been funded by Northern Flood - Damaged Infrastructure Emergency Rehabilitation (N-FIER) and implemented in Lal wa Sarjangal, Shahrak and Dolina districts of Ghor.
He said more than 3000 families, who contributed 10 percent to the total costs, benefited from the projects.
The irrigation facility brought under irrigation about 8000 acres of land, the official said.
