Female hostel being constructed at Ghor institute
Financed by the Ministry of Counternarcotics (MoC), the ground for the hostel building was broken at a special ceremony participated by the governor and a number of local officials and elders.
Governor Seema Joinda, praising the Ministry of Counternarcotics, called the development a positive step towards promoting higher education.
She said the hostel would be dedicated to female students coming from other provinces for higher education to the public sector institute.
Joinda asked the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) to add more faculties to the higher institute and build a teacher hostel on the campus.
Ghor Higher Education Director Attaullah Fazlyar said the hostel would cost $1 million and would take one year to complete.
He said the hostel in two buildings would contain 44 living rooms equipped with bathrooms and a dining room having the capacity to accommodate 220 students.
