Illegal commander’s son strangles teacher to death
FIROZKOH (Pajhwok): An illegal armed group’s commander has strangled to death a school teacher with decades of experience in education sector in western Ghor province, an official said on Wednesday.
Abdul Hakim Ghafoor, an education department official, told Pajhwok Afghan News the commander’s gunmen subsequently throttled the teacher to death.
Deputy police chief Col. Mohammad Zaman Azimi who visited the spot, alleged Nazir had been killed by the son and bodyguards of Mohsin.
He said another commander, Mullah Mustafa, had held four people in connection with the teacher’s murder. The commander freed the alleged killers in return for 5 million afghanis.
Local officials say 4,500 illegal armed men in more than 100 groups are operating in the province. Residents have been suffering atrocities at their hands.
