3 including would-be suicide bomber detained in Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): The spy service on Thursday said a would-be suicide bomber and his two facilitators have been detained in Bagrami district of central Kabul province.
According to a statement from the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the suspects were detained during a special operation.
The statement identified the detainees as Ahmad, the suicide bomber, and his two handlers Sherbadin and Amanullah.
The detainees had been planning to carryout suicide attacks on Sarak-i-Naw road in Bagram area and other parts of Kabul city, the statement said.
The detainees had confessed to involvement in a car bombing in Laghman province last year. Fifteen kilograms of explosives and a bomb were also seized from them, the source claimed.
