Campbell updates CEO on security developments
KABUL (Pajhwok): Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Abdullah and NATO top commander in Afghanistan US General John Campbell discussed the latest security and military developments and joint operations against insurgents in the country, the CEO office said on Sunday.
The meeting on Saturday at the CEO office in Kabul was part of a series of regular security meetings between the two, the CEO office said in a statement.
It said Gen. Campbell reported the latest security and military developments and joint operations against the enemies of Afghanistan to the Chief Executive.
After hearing the reports, Abdullah stressed more cooperation between the Afghan armed forces and the Resolute Support Unit.
Abdullah also praised the Afghan forces for their resistance against the enemies of the people of Afghanistan, the brief statement said.
