Kunduz governor unveils 100-day action plan
KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Acting Kunduz governor Hamdullah Danishi on Monday said security, anti-corruption fight, good governances and the prevention of land- grab incidents have been prioritised in the northern province’s next 100-day action plan.
Presenting the action at a gathering here, Danishi said clearing the province from the presence of Taliban, response to families affected by the fall of Kunduz City to Taliban were part of the plan.
For responding to people’s suggestions regarding security, development and governance, the governor said they would hold talks with Cabinet ministers.
According to Danishi, the action plan also concentrates on prevention of land-grabbing and dealing with factors behind the issue.
Kunduz provincial council head Mohammad Yousuf Ayubi told the gathering that the main challenges the people and the government faced were, insecurity, poverty, joblessness and corruption in government institutions.
He said insecurity forced the youths into leaving the country for Europe and contributed to joblessness in the province.
“If the government doesn’t take urgent steps to alleviate insecurity and joblessness, not only the challenges would increase but the gap between the people and government would also increase,” he said.
