Karzai denounces beheading of civilians
KABUL (Pajhwok): Former president Hamid Karzai on Tuesday condemned the beheading of civilians by Islamic State militants in southern Zabul province and called it terrorism and inhumane act.
A statement from Karzai’s office said militants decapitated seven people two days ago in Zabul province after abducting them from Jaghori district of Ghazni. A child and three women were among the slain people.
Karzai condemned the incident in the harshest possible terms, saying it was an act against human rights and was a brazen terrorism.
“The enemies of Afghanistan should realise that they cannot destroy the stability of Afghanistan by such acts,” he said in the statement.
