Ghani visits injured protestors at hospital

Ghani visits injured protestors at hospital

Nov 12, 2015 - 21:51

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani on Thursday inquired after the healthinfo-icon condition of five persons who were shot and injured during a protest demonstration in Kabul a day earlier.

The five persons were injured after guards at the Presidential Palace fired warning shots to disperse the thousands of protestors who attempted to storm the Presidential Palace.

They were protesting against the beheading of seven Hazara tribesmen, including a nine-year-old girl.

Ghani visited Wazir Mohammad Khan Hospital where the injured are being treated and prayed to Allah for their early recovery, a statement from the Presidential Palace said.

The president asked doctors to cure the injured as better as possible, the statement added. “Peaceful protests are the right of every citizen of the country,” Ghani said in the statement.

The president also visited all patients in the 400-bed hospital and wished them rapid recovery.
