NPC approves 10 contracts, claims saving 100m afs
KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved another 10 contracts worth more than 822 million afghanis during a meeting, the Presidential Palace said on Sunday.
The NPC discussed a total 18 different projects concerning Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), the Administrative Affairs Office, the ministries of agriculture, public works, higher education, defence and interior, a statement from the Palace said.
The meeting approved 10 contracts of the interior and public works ministries and the administrative affairs office worth 822 million afs and saved more than 100 million afs in the contracts for the defence and interior ministries comparing to last year, it added.
The meeting was attended by 2nd Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdullah Abdullah, finance, justice, commerce ministers and other senior officials, the statement said.
More than 9 billion afghanis have been saved as a result of approval of contracts by the NPC during the past one year, the statement claimed.
